Geocache Description:

To commemorate my 16th month of Geocaching, my 16th hide, and the year 2016, this puzzle cache is all about the number 16!

16 is a great number. In many areas youngsters look forward to turning 16 years old and getting their driver's license. Growing up, my favorite hockey player was Canuck-great, number 16, Trevor Linden. A total of 16 teams make it to the playoffs in both the NHL and the NBA.

In mathematics, 16 is a square number or a perfect square. It is the smallest number with exactly five divisors; its proper divisors being 1, 2, 4 and 8.

The virtual coordinate icon for this cache is placed right on top of the home I lived in when I was 16 years old (but, of course, the cache is elsewhere).

To further honor the number 16 here is a recently developed mathematics based puzzle called Sweet Sixteen. In order to solve this puzzle all numbers from 1 to 16 will appear in the 4x4 array, and each only once. The mathematical symbols must be obeyed. All circles contain only odd numbers, and all squares contain only even numbers. Once you have all 16 numbers entered into the puzzle you will need to use specific numbers in the equation to calculate the final coordinates.

Assume N 50 XXXXX W 119 YYYYY
(add decimal points in appropriate places after completing the calculations)

First to Solve goes to the puzzling team of IXE 13 and Laouate! And it's none other than iqfilm with the FTF!!!

Enjoy!
