Welcome to Guist Creek Lake, the largest lake in Shelby County and soon to be the home of two (count them 2) brand new aquatic geo-arts.
You are cordially invited to join us for the debut of these two geo-arts on 9/10/16, Each art consists of 43 paddle caches. One has been placed to the north of the marina and the other to the south.
The north side will resemble a ships wheel.
The south side will resemble and anchor.
The Event and logbook will be available from 8:00-9:30.. Paddling is available all day.. We will have a few refreshments to begin and I'm sure the stories will abound..
You do NOT have to paddle to attend the event.. Just show up, join us for a bit, sign the log, and log the event..
Both arts can be done in 1 day, but you may want to bring a lunch and supper along..
There is a $5/vehicle launch fee.. This means if you launch a boat, it's $5.. If you bring 4 yaks in on 1 truck, it's $5.. Very fair and very friendly.. Don't forget to pay your launch fee and get a parking tag.. They enforce and may tow at your expense..
Bring your flotation device, your pfd, hydration, a snack, and enjoy us for a great day on the water..
