So what do you wish for when you're caching? Extra batteries for the GPS'r or a juice pack for the phone. Perhaps you hope there is an ice cream parlor nearby. Maybe you forgot a pen. Rain gear. Better footwear. The CO at your side (maybe for help, maybe to slap 'em).
I probably wished for all of those at one time or another, but there is one thing I seem to wish for more often than anything else. Once you get to my cache site, you'll see what I wish for.
Once you're at the parking coordinates, look for 2 big rocks at the trail head. About 70ish feet or so beyond the rocks, on your right you'll see a branch with orange paint and about 10 feet back a log with an orange X (entrance is obscured to keep muggles out). Once you're through the initial brush, you should see a meandering path. You may have to duck or tilt your head or step over/around minor obstacles, but it should be a fairly easy path (I've painted some of the head smacking branches and such with more orange paint). At the end is my cache.
This cache has been getting a lot of favorable attention. This cache does not work well for large groups. 2-3 is ideal, 4 will probably work, 5+ and it's too crowded.
There are a number of decoys. Additional information at the cache site. Feel free to mention in your logs what you wish for most-unless it's the same as me. Let's keep that a secret for other seekers of this cache.
UPDATE 10/15/16:visited site about 6pm today after morning publication. The branch with orange paint was moved-put it back but prolly won't stay there. The orange X log probably won't be moved so look for that. THE ENTRANCE IS PURPOSELY CLUTTERED/CLOGGED. PLEASE LEAVE IT THAT WAY TO KEEP MUGGLES FROM WANDERING BACK THERE. (Already had one muggle go back prior to publication.) UPDATE 12/6/16 While it is winter accessible, I don't recommend it. This is an 'experience' cache and to get that full experience it's best to wait until things are greening up. Made a slight modification to the cache site for the winter but it doesn't affect the cache. With the snow flying, it may be difficult to find the orange X on the log, but if you can find your way through the initial brush, you'll find the path back easy enough. Congrats to Ttomw on his well earned first to find. Nice job!
