Ever since becoming a geocacher, I've extolled the virtues of caching to friends far and wide, from England to Australia. I've talked people I've never met face-to-face into at least giving the game a try. Some have become immersed in geocaching, some have not. And some are still wondering if this sport is for them. My friend falls into the last category. She's found a few caches, but hasn't really gotten into the habit of caching.
The good news is that she's coming to visit St. Louis and has agreed to attend an event to see how us mad Americans go about geocaching. So, bring your best geocaching stories and come meet my friend from Australia - Catpaldi - and give her some encouragement to go out there and cache!
The coordinates will take you to the door of a place where she and I will be that day. You're welcome to come in and visit with us, but you don't need to purchase anything unless you wish to buy some good food at that establishment. I've spoken with Matthew, one of the managers at this location, so they know we're coming.
The event will be on Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 11 am to 1 pm, approximately. Come in, say hello and sign the logsheet. We hope to see you there!
