Ward Lake Park CITO #2 Cache In Trash Out® Event

Every spring, geocachers gather together for a global CITO Week. For the first time in geocaching history, there will be a fall CITO Week from September 17 – 25, 2016. You can earn a new souvenir by attending one of the CITO Events held during that week.

There is a CITO event scheduled in Van Buren on Sept. 17. If you miss that one you still have a chance to earn a souvenir by attending this one. Or you can always do both. It is always good to do a CITO and share geocaching with others. >

This is a small park and it has a nice paved walking trail around it. The trail is about 1.5 miles around the lake and has two additional parking areas. Within the park there are picnic tables and a children’s play area.

I will have trash bags, gloves and some cold water. Bring your own grabbers, etc.

There are a few caches around the lake as well. Bring bug spray .

The city keeps the grass mowed along each side of the trail so it will be easy to clean that area.
