Saratoga Co. Homestead. Opened in 1912 or 1914 as a tuberculosis sanatorium. Closed in 1960. Reopened in 1961 as Saratoga Co. Infirmary-public nursing home. Closed again in 1979. Originally a wooden building, replaced in 1932 by the brick building standing there today. Rumored to be haunted, with some accounts posted on the Internet. Movie (The Expedition) made in 2006 based on true events at the sanatorium. **Please no trespassing!! This is private property & dangerous. It's deteriorating & has asbestos inside!!** Instead, use your imagination & the Internet to seek thrills. Wish there was someway to save the building! Bison tube.
