Geocache Description:

"COURSE CLOSED"

This is what the sign says a short distance from the cache, near the entrance to a fairway.  This summer another golf course bit the dust in Sun City Center.  Will there be more to follow?  A search of some recent articles and columns on the closing of golf courses around the nation produced the following reasons:

They're losing money.

The game takes too long.

The decline of the middle class.

People are too busy.

Golf is too expensive.

Golf is difficult to learn.

I have to admit, geocaching is a lot cheaper, it's easy to learn, I'm not limited to 18 holes, and I can look for as many caches/day as I want.  Unlike many golfers these days I can take long walks or ride my bike while geocaching instead of riding a golf cart.  (Although in Sun City Center one can certainly ride a golf cart while geocaching.)

You're looking for a camo pill bottle about knee high.  If anyone asks what you're doing just tell them you lost a golf ball.
