Geocache Description:

Foot of Mt. Pisgah near Co Hwy F.

This cache is dedicated to Mt. Pisgah Hemlock-Hardwoods, which features hemlock and yellow birch trees, and is found along the Kickapoo River (great for paddling) in Wisconsin's legendary Driftless Area. The cache is located near the foot of Mt Pisgah. Based on peakery data, Mt Pisgah ranks as the 153rd highest mountain in Wisconsin and the 57880th highest mountain in the United States. The Wisconsin Atlas and Gazetteer by DeLorme has put Mt. Pisgah Hemlock-Hardwoods on its "Unique Natural Features" list for the state.

The cache's T rating may vary depending on your approach. The log is in a small container within the larger container. Hopefully it will stay dry that way!

If you would like to hike Mt Pisgah for views from up above, park at the canoe launch area in Wildcat Mountain State Park (N 43 41.484 W 90 34.885) and take the Hemlock Trail through Wildcat Mountain State Park and the State Natural Area.

Happy Caching!
