Please be respectful of your surroundings and midful of the terrain as it is not always a maintained grave yard. Stones, roots and briars may be tripping hazards.
The locals refer to this as 'The Old Eagle Head Cemetery'.
Of the stones which have been transcribed and recorded, the youngest person, Anne E. Hemmeon, daughter of William and Sarah Hemmeon, was only 1 year old when she died on Jan. 6,1869. The earliest dated marker belongs to Regina Henderson, wife of William Henderson. She died on Jan 9, 1817 at the age of 62 years. The most recent marker belongs to Mary E Mouzar who died on September 3, 1903 at the age of 67. The names Hemmeon, Henderson and Mouzar are still common names in Queens County.
