Metasequoia glyptostroboides (pronounced Met-ta-sek-oi-ya gl-ip-toh-strob-oi-dees) is the latin name of the Dawn Redwood - the trees that make up this lovely avenue... It's also my favourite botanical name so I thought it warrants a cache!
The park is open to the public between 11am and sunset each day - cars, dogs and bicycles aren't allowed inside, you must park outside and walk in. You may see people drive in but this is eastate traffic only... attempting to drive to this cache will attract the attention of the gate keeper and you will be asked to leave! Please note that at certain times Hulne Park may be closed to visitors - usually during the winter pheasant shooting season.
