Hi!
This is our first CITO of many to come.
We are lucky to have two great senior geocahers that will be leading the two CITO this weekend. Thanks Eric & Nathan! On Saturday we will meet at Strathcona Riverside Nature Trail, in Strathcona County and on Sunday we will meet at Terwillegar Park, in Edmonton. We will provide garbage bags and disposable gloves.
These two events are part of the River Festival organized by RVA together with many stakeholders from Devon to Fort Saskatchewan. Most importantly this is a a celebration of outdoor recreation that encourages regional citizens and visitors to embrace the river valley park system and demonstrate its value, through participating in a range of recreational, art and cultural activities. Look at our website to find out more about the activities and locations (http://www.rivervalley.ab.ca/).
Everyone is invited to come and help us clean our trail in the North Sasktchewan River.
Where: Strathcona Riverside Nature Trail, Strathcona County, located on Township Road 540, very close to Legends Golf and Country Club. One trailhead is located at Twp Rd. 540 and Range Road 232. The other trailhead is just west on Twp Rd. 540, about one kilometre. This trail is not a loop, so we will meet on one side of the loop but arrange to leave a vehicle at the other end.
