Prickwillow needed to be put on the map so here it is with a nice multi-cache with swaps at the end and surprises for the FTF.
Originally a small hamlet on the banks of the River Great Ouse, but now on the banks of the River Lark since re-organisation of the river system, the village of Prickwillow has an estimated mid-2005 population of 440. It lies in the south of the Fens, 4 miles (6.4 km) east of the city of Ely (where the population is included) in Cambridgeshire, England, and is home to Prickwillow Museum, which tells the story of the changing face of Fenland. Prickwillow Museum is housed in the old pumping station and contains a major collection of working pumping engines.
On your travels you will go past the iconic The Phonebox Gallery on Main Street. This was the brainchild of villager and gallery curator Nick Edell who received enthusiastic backing from Prickwillow Village Council, back in the Autumn 2010, when the council purchased the phone box from BT for just £1 with the only restriction on the sale being that it was not moved. With no funds available for the restoration, a number of villagers stepped in to offer their services for free.
Cache
Ok, here we go
1. Travel to the start point (which has space to pull over on both sides of the road. Be careful if you have to cross the road). Look here for something that gives the co-ords for part 2. I have permission from the land owner to place this here but please be aware of the drop each side into the ditches, don't go too far behind.
2. Travel to the next clue which is a bison and should be dry ;-). There is room to pull over in a car. This cache has coords for the final cache. You may need tweezers here.
3. The road to the final place isn't very wide. You can park at the end and walk or if you prefer you can drive down as there is room for one car to pull over next to the cache. The cache is a small clip box covered in plastic and is hidden underneath something.
This is my first multi-cache. I have made a few things for the box. Lots of swaps for little ones and also my first trackable that I would love to be able to send to Scotland. Details are in the packet :-)
Hope you have fun and keep safe.
Congratulations to ecopuffinparents for their perseverance in finding this little cheeky one :-)
