Geocache Description:

The Grey Ribbon is for Brain Tumour Awareness. Grey Matters is a rally cry for Brain Tumour survivors. After my surgery to remove a tumour, I would regularly walk to this area, alone or with my wife for exercise, serenity and contemplation. Stop a moment to appreciate life and the view.

This cache is located near a popular multi-use trail which provides access to Back Bay on Great Slave Lake.  The trail runs from the centre of Yellowknife and can be accessed in a couple of places.  The most common point is where the trail crosses 48th Street from Frame Lake.  There is a small parking lot at this location.  A hike of about 750 m will take you to a plastic container containing random items. (The original container was smuggled). We all recently rallied around Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip following his diagnosis of an inoperable Glioblastoma Multiform. Please help raise awareness of Brain Tumours and Brain Cancer by wearing grey or participating in a Brain Tumour Walk. If you would like to make a donation to support research, patients, survivors and their families, please visit the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada website at www.braintumour.ca
