What is a CITO?
CITO stands for Cache In, Trash Out. It is a unique event that is designed to promote keeping our Earth clean.
When and where?
At Morse park in Neosho at the southern most parking lot on 9/17/2016.
Please plan to arrive by 9am, and participate in the cleanup with other cachers.
The Event will officially run until noon.
Please Plan on staying at least 30 minutes to as long as you want.
What should I expect?
Show up at the posted coordinates on the date and time listed above, and be prepared to clean up trash. Some leather gloves and bags will be provided. Feel free to bring your own grabbers, or gloves that you would prefer.
We will be Floating a canoe and at leat one other small boat down the creek. We plan on trying to clean up the trash along the banks. If you are bringing a small child, please keep your eye on your kids near the water.
This park also has paved trails. Feel free to stick to the paths if you would rather not join us in the water.
Anything else?
Bring water, wear comfortable shoes (or boots), and bring bug spray.
There will be some water and snacks available.
This Park has a very nice paved trail, that will accommodate wheelchairs, if it is needed. Anyone attending is allowed to help at there own level of comfort.
On a Personal Note As a C.O.
I am trying to show the city that there is a sizable geocaching community to help gain there support for a LARGE, UNIQUE (of coarse) EVENT next summer. This event and a few more CITO's is how I have pledged to help gain there support, which will make the event larger and better.
So Please Join us and show your support, If you are unable to help due to a disability or injury please still show up and we will find a way for you to help log this event. Even if you cant show up until a little late please note that in your "Will Attend" Log, so we know when to expect people. I plan on The log and CITO going until at least noon.
