This is our first cache of hopefully a few more based around the beautiful site of Goodrich Castle built by Godric Mappeson which is sited high above the River Wye, and is arguably one of the finest and best preserved Medieval English castles. The cache is situated next to a public footpath so please do not be deterred if the gates are locked - there is a kissing gate to the right hand side. Please search with caution as this is an extremely high muggle area during peak seasons (April - November and every weekend throughout winter.) There is car parking onsite during the visitor centre opening hours with a small charge of £1 for parking all day, which also makes for a good excuse to enjoy a nice cuppa in the tearoom there! There is also a notice board by the tearoom which displays some fantastic local walks with the site as a good starting place. Note: the car park is only open whilst the visitor centre is open (10am-6pm) and the gates are locked every evening. There is however a small amount of parking down the lane on the roadside also. The cache has recently been moved to a slightly different location as the last one was eaten! However, the cache is now much larger and has been replenished with geotat.
You are looking for a large thermobox. Please rehide exactly as found as this is a high muggle area.
Please be careful with mini cachers as there are steep slopes which could be slippy!
