Welcome to Bethel!
Bethel University was founded in 1842 in McLemoresville TN as Bethel Seminary. In 1847 Bethel College was granted a charter by the the state of Tennessee and operated as Bethel College until 2009 when its trustees voted to change its name to Bethel University. It was in 1872 that the Bethel president W.W. Hendrix led the initiative to move Bethel from McLemoresville TN to its current location in McKenzie.
As of 2016 there are 47 courses of study at Bethel across all majors and enrollment is about 7600. In addition to McKenzie, there are campuses in Memphis, Nashville, Clarksville, Jackson, Paris, and Chattanooga.
This should be a simple find. I wanted to introduce everyone to the university that provided me with my first professional job as a professor of Biology. Please be respectful of the area, cache is not in the shrubs. Parking permit enforcement is between 8AM and 3PM Monday to Friday. Before or after those times or on weekends would be the best time to attempt the cache. This will also help you avoid the muggles, which is why the difficulty is slightly higher than I would normally place it.
