Geocache Description:

We have another opportunity to show that geocachers care for the game board we all enjoy exploring. The Friends of White Rock Copperworks have invited us back to help them transform another section of this heritage site.

Sunday September 25th 10.30 am - 12.00 noon

Which means this is also a chance to earn a Groundspeak souvenir.

This will be the fifth time that the friends of the copperworks have asked South Wales Geocachers for some help with restoring the site. They have a specific area that needs clearing of invasive plants. It should be a satisfying experience, exposing the old building's walls.

If you don't fancy the gardening duty, there is also litter that needs picking up.

FoWRC and Keep Wales Tidy will be inattendance to guide us and keep us safe (and provide insurance). The C&C of Swansea will collect our bagged litter and chip the plants we cut at a later date. Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided. Please bring secateurs and similar if possible.

You never know there might be a chance to go trolley fishing (http://whiterocktrails.org/reclamation and scroll down for video of the escapade).

Please be warned there are no toilets on site though it isn't far to the edge of the enterprise park where some can be found. Whilst we won't be working especially close to the river (until the trolley fishing), please keep the usual close eye on children and pets.
