Malan Station used to be a railway station of Taiwan Railway Administration Taitung Line located in Taitung City, Taitung County, Taiwan.
The station on August 01, 2001 abolished due to the Taitung Line widening project. Time seems to have stopped at this train station since its closure in 2001. You don’t have to be a railway enthusiast or biker to fall in love with the serenity here. Before the well-preserved station platform, lies the city-looping “Mountain-Ocean Bike Trail” that leads to the Taitung downtown area. The station is also an essential pit-stop for cyclists. The station’s interior features stunning art creations by the artist Zeng Cheng-yuan. Behind the back door, the beautiful view of paddy fields sparkling under Taitung’s crystal-clear sky greets the eyes. Retro classroom desks and chairs are thoughtfully placed on the boardwalk for visitors to take a rest. Enjoy a quiet moment in the breeze here and soak in Taitung’s beauty.
