Geocache Description:

THIS IS A NANO CACHE. ONCE FOUND, PLEASE PUT BACK IN IT'S ORIGINAL LOCATION. THANK YOU!

Browns Wood was created as an area in 1995 with the notable trees being planted in the year 2000 to mark the millenium. There are 6 hectares of probably ancient woodland and it is the largest local wood with public access.

The 10 hectares of new planting on the slope with good views of the rural Ouse valley are the millennium trees. A hornbeam coppice at the southern end of the wood is a notable feature.

The trees are a mixture of deciduous trees, namely beech. They are collectively known as Browns Wood and as you can see are a young woodland.
