Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed co-ordinates.
You will need to calculate the final coordinates, and you’ll have a short walk in light bush to find the cache.

You should bring your own pen, as the bison container is not big enough for pens or swaps.

What are degrees?  Degree is a noun used in many ways.  To a certain degree, we use them every day.

They are commonly used to measure temperature, either when cooking, or weather forecasting and reporting. Generally, in Australia, we’re used to the Celsius scale, but in some other countries, the Fahrenheit scale is used.  Science and industry sometime use different, perhaps less known scales. Regardless, any scale can be converted into another.

Statisticians describe degrees of freedom, whilst mathematicians love degrees. They are used to measure angles in geometry. There are 360 of them in a circle, and 90 in each corner of a square.

Cartographers, geographers, and even geocachers drool over them. Adapting degrees from a circle, we’re able to use them to define latitude and longitude, and hence any spot on the face of the earth, and in turn, to describe where one might hide, or indeed find, a geocache. Described as coordinates, they too can take various form.

Naughty boys might be given the third degree.

Universities and similar institutions hand out degrees to successful academics, some of whom then go on to describe the severity of burns using degrees.

Degree can also be used to describe the distinctive classification of a crime according to its gravity, or a certain distance or remove in the line of descent, determining the proximity of relationship.

One could go on to the nth degree, but instead, suffice to say that the geocache can be found, subject to conversion/s, at:

South:  316.1137

East: 297.19184

You can use the link below to check your calculated coordinates (in the usual format), and if correct, you will also find more detail about parking and so on.
