Geocache Description:

Should be a quick-ish P&G-type cache in a spot w/ some interesting Toronto history. Please replace discretely and down low so to minimize chances of muggling.

A bit of interesting history to this seemingly nondescript alley. A notorious American serial killer, Herman Webster Mudgett (aka HH Holmes), made a stop here. Holmes was infamous for his “murder castle” in Chicago during the 1890s. Chilling stuff. While on the quasi-lamb, two young women (Alice and Nellie Pitezel) fell victim to Holmes and their bodies were buried/stashed in this very alley (16 St. Vincent Lane), less than 50 m from the cache site. The house is now long gone, replaced by the swimming pool of a high rise. Swimming laps, blissfully ignorant of the tragedy below in the distant past. Ah, the evaporations of time…

And FTF goes to yellow.warbler. Nicely done!
