The town of Duane is situated at the northern edge of the Adirondack Park.
This cache is in the town nature walk and XC ski trail in Duane Center - the original town. The park is adjancent to the Duane Methodist Church which is on the Nation Register of historic places - so take a visit there, and across the road from the orignal Duane school house (now a private residence).
The trail winds around old growth white pine along with balsam and spruce. The ground in this area has a very thick duff layer covered with moss so stay on the trail as much as possible when you get the cache you'll notice how soft it is. All in all, a lovely quiet place to get filled with the best smelling air anywhere around.
The cache is about 70' from the trail and is winter freindly so come by and try the skiing, too.
Congratulations to bkjcox for first to find! Heads up for their new TB called "Duane Nature Walk and TB Hotel Original TB"
