Här ligger ett båthus med en färja som är byggd på 1850-talet. Innan färjan fanns fick bybor lov att vada över älven för att ta sig till sina fäbodar. 1893 invigdes den första bron över älven här och färjan stationerades i detta båthus. År 1928 fick dock färjan återigen tas fram och användas eftersom bron sveptes med av den kraftiga vårisen i älven.
En ny betongbor byggdes och den 15 oktober 1929 kunde bron invigas och den gamla färjan placerades åter i detta båthus.Den nya bron hade med den tidens mått Sveriges längsta betongspann och med sin fria spännvidd av 86 meter var den dåtidens turistattraktion.
Ni får gärna öppna dörren och titta på den gamla färjan!
Observera att ni inte ska gå runt på den gamla färjan och leta efter cachen, den är ju gammal och ska inte klättras på! Cachen är INTE gömd på färjan!

In this house there is a ferry built in the 1850s
Before the ferry entered service, the inhabitants of Åsen, 3 km from here, had to wade across the river to get to their cottage houses on the western side of the river. In the year of 1893 the first bridge was built and the ferry was placed in the boathouse. In 1928 the ferry was once more put in service after the bridge had been swept away by heavy ice and spring waters. A new concrete bridge was built and inaugurated in October 15, 1929 and the old ferry could once more be put in this house.The new bridge had at the time the longest concrete span in Sweden and with a free span of 86 m it became a tourist attraction of the time.
You are welcome to open the door and look at the old ferry!
Note that you don`t need to walk around on the old ferry when you look for the cache, it´s old and fragile! The cache is NOT hidden on the ferry!
