lpaulr: After a six-year run it is time to bid this one goodbye. A recent run of no logs and then a final DNF a couple of days ago had me come back to check this one out. It was nowhere to be found. This one is under constant flux with the Stairway getting increasingly cut and the loose sand in the area and decay of the fallen logs makes this one hard to maintain. Also camper have discovered this area which leads to muggling.

This is a great area and I hope someone else decided to hide one here.

Geocache Description:

Another hide in the Sonyea State Forest. After placing another cache in this valley I thought that adding another would encourage more to visit this seldom visited park.

This is a delightful area with great views. After decending into the valley carved by Keshequa Creek you will be hiking along the creek and the paths of the Genesee Valley Canal and subsequent Railroad. The container is hidden off the trail and might require some slogging through mud or seasonal creek. The path mostly follows the rail / towpath. While looking for a hiding place I came across an interesting geological feature and hence the name. The container is a three inch camo lock-n-lock. Terrain is difficult at GZ so use caution. The FTF prize is a classic coin from the day of my mother's youth. As usual - BYOP. There is minimum room for trade items in the container.

Congratulations to yank23 for FTF!! Note: Do not attempt to approach GZ from the top and you do not need to walk on the stairs. 8/7/2017 Replaced container as original was missing. It is now a screw top camo painted plastic tub. Less room for trade items now.
