The Towers Summit Traditional Cache

This small lock and lock container is located atop the 2,838 meter summit of The Towers. From the Assiniboine Lodge, expect a round-trip distance of 13 kilometers with an elevation gain of about 700 meters. The easiest route up the peak is an easy/moderate off-trail scramble.

The Towers is a wonderful scramble. From Wonder Pass, head SW across a boulder / scree field until you pick up a slight trail. This trail continues SW to southeast ridge of The Towers. Ascend NW up the ridge, following the occasional cairn and flag. There will be hands-on scrambling, usually in the easy-moderate range. Routefinding skills and a keen eye for cairns will guide you towards the easiest route. Once atop the summit, enjoy the amazing 360 degree views and return the way you ascended. Good luck and enjoy!
