Geocache Description:

The geocache container is not at the posted coordinates. BYOP The posted coordinates are at or near one of th eentrances to the park.

Latham Park is only open from the late May until early October. Check the park web site, https://www.lathampark.com/calendar for exact dates.

This geocache is located within a private park in Sioux City, Iowa with permission from the property caretaker/owner's. Geocacher's/players are to respect and obey all rules governing the use of this park.

Geocacher's/player's must solve/answer the questions and equations to get the final set of GPS coordinates which will reveal the location of the physical cache container.

Questions:

1. What year did the Latham family move to Sioux City, Iowa?

2. What year did Clara Latham die?

Instructions for equations:

1. Do not use the spaces or decimal point in the equations. The spaces and decimal point will be shown in the description.

2. After you solve the equations be sure to put the spaces and decimal point in the proper place to enter the GPS coordinates as a waypoint into your device.

3. The coordinates used for the quations have nothing to do with the park, they are used to help obtain the final correct coordinates once the equations are solved correctly.

4. When figuring out the equations leave off the N 42 and W 96, only use the 26358 and 22556.

Equations:

1. N 42 26.358 + answer to question 1 = N 42 ??.???

2. W 96 22.556 - answer to question 2 = W 96 ??.???

Once you solve the equations the GPS coordinates will take you within close proximity of the cache container.

These coordinates will put you in the center of the location it is at. You will need to look in and under the object in this general vicinity.

The approximate distance can be up to 30' away from the coordinates.

Once you find the physical container please sign the log and place it back in the same location you found it. DO NOT move it to another location!
