An unwelcoming landfill site has been transformed into an accessible community woodland in Linwood as part of a Forestry Commission Scotland project. The area has been regenerated with a new sports centre and the woodland itself has been maintained with walking/cycling choice of 3 routes through the area.
The cache is just beside the path and is the start or end depending on the path taken of the woodland walk caches.
If doing the route in summer take a box and collect wild brambles and peaches on route. The Community woodland walk area is popular with dog walkers, cyclists and runners so stealth is required. Dont get a fright if you bump into a deer or two through the wood as there is an abundance of wildlife.
