Established in 1988 on an historically signi cant site, it is today one of the most welcoming and beautiful parks in Ipswich. Featuring almost 40 hectares of stunning grounds, a picturesque church and charming Queenslander style function centre, it is easy to see why Kholo has become such a popular wedding and function venue.
This park remains to be sacred to the Traditional Owners of Ipswich, the Jagera, Yuggera & Ugarapul People. Sacred sites are very important to the Traditional Owners, as they provide a link between Country and personal identity and allow the passing on of cultural knowledge. Some of the sacred sites include quarry sites, traditional food resources, story places, pre-contact and historical camp sites, ghting grounds, ceremonial sites, bora rings and women’s business sites.
