The San Diego Trolley is a convenient way to get to the park. The park is also within walking distance of the Gaslamp Quarter, Downtown, the San Diego Convention Center and many local hotels. You can also ride your bike to the park or drive your car, but be aware that metered parking is limited and the paid parking lot in front of Seaport Village gets expensive very quickly.
The park is very family friendly, you’ll find: picnic tables, shade trees, exercise stations, bike paths, public restrooms, a small fishing pier and a gazebo. From the gazebo and pier, you’ll be treated to breathtakingly beautiful views of the bay, Coronado Island, the majestic Coronado Bay Bridge, and both military and civilian ships and boats sailing by. We frequently see crabs on the rocks near the water, and if you sit on a bench on the pier you may be lucky enough to see a dolphin or sea lion. Hint, hint: if you stand against the rail you can enjoy the view and find a cache. The cache is small, so please bring your own writing instrument. You may be lucky and find the gazebo and pier empty when you arrive, but at other times it has quite a few visitors, so please be very stealthy, this tends to be a very high Muggle zone. Please be careful that you don't drop the container in the water.
