Milanofiori Nord è un quartiere a misura d'uomo, di elevata qualità ambientale, dove architettura e paesaggio vivono strettamente legati. Oltre a rispettare criteri di sostenibilità in termini di composizione, tecnologia e materiali (bioedilizia, pannelli solari) sono valorizzate le aree boschive esistenti e salvaguardate le biodiversità.
I palazzi per uffici sono la parte architettonica più rappresentativa, grazie anche alla forte trasparenza creata dai materiali utilizzati per la costruzione delle facciate.
Il settore commerciale, di grande e media superficie, è composto da sette aree separate e si caratterizza per la qualità del design e dell'innovazione.
L'area residenziale consta di due complessi che si sviluppano attorno a un parco interno ed è dotata di un sistema verticale di winter garden (logge bioclimatiche) che sostituisce la facciata ed enfatizza il rapporto col verde.
La piazza è l'elemento che integra le differenti funzioni del quartiere: collegata alla metropolitana (MM 2, la Verde) è insieme un luogo di transito per accedere agli uffici, alle residenze, all’albergo e alle strutture commerciali ma anche un piacevole luogo di sosta.
Il masterplan è stato realizzato da Designed by Erick van Egeraat di Rotterdam, prestigioso studio di architetti noto per gli interventi a basso impatto ambientale.
Primarie organizzazioni italiane e internazionali hanno riconosciuto in questo progetto un luogo di vivere e lavorare moderno, in linea con le tendenze internazionali più evolute. Tra esse figura Italiaonline, dove lavorano parecchi amici ed ex colleghi.
Nonostante la distanza dal suo ufficio, il nostro membro Graz67 ogni tanto va a mangiare con loro a pranzo. Oggi era una di quelle volte. Al Farinate GeoCaching Team è venuta l'idea di piazzare questa piccola cache, dedicata a tutti loro.
Milanofiori Nord is a human-scale neighborhood of high environmental quality, where architecture and landscape live together. In addition to complying with the sustainability criteria in terms of composition, technology and materials (green building, solar panels), existing woods and biodiversity have been safeguarded.
The office buildings are the most representative architectural part, thanks to the high transparency created by the materials used for the construction of facades.
The commercial sector hosts large and medium surface offices and counts of seven separate areas and it is characterized by the quality of design and innovation.
The residential area consists of two complexes that are built around an inner park and is equipped with a vertical system of winter garden (bioclimatic lodges) which replaces the facade and emphasizes the relationship with the surrounding green.
The square integrates the different functions of this neighborhood: connected to the underground (MM 2, the Green one), it's both a transit point for access to offices, residences, hotel and commercial facilities but also a pleasant place to stop.

Despite the distance from his office, our member Graz67 occasionally comes here to eat with them at lunch. Today was one of those times. Farinate Geocaching Team got the idea to place this little cache: it's dedicated to all of them.
