Geocache Description:


Meet and greet for geocachers. Free entertainment to watch the polar bears jump in Big Cedar Lake! This is NOT for charity nor fundraising. Ecorangers family is in charge of the Polar Bear Plunge, without them, this event would NOT happen. House Of Heileman's Tavern on Big Cedar Lake. 5723 W. Lake Drive, West Bend Wi Friday, January 1st, 2017 12:30pm-2:00pm (Come early for good parking). Overflow Parking at the Boat Launch on Gonring Dr. Family Friendly (Fun) Event (Children need to be with an adult/guardian). 1:00pm is the Polar Bear Plunge. A release form must be signed before taking "the plunge." Free hot chocolate to those that take the plunge. Polar Bear Plunge will take place at 1:00pm. The water depth is about waist deep on Wade/Dane (four feet deep). Think of it as a New Year's "Cleanse." Out with the old, in with the new you! If you can do this...you can do just about anything! Those who take the plunge will get free hot chocolate and bragging rights...the rest of us will cheer you on. Bring your camping chairs to sit and watch the polar bears. Stay warm or warm up by the portable campfire. One new geocache will be released approximately at 2:00pm. Plungers get first dibs at FTF.
