The shortest path to this cache is from the Cannons Creek entrance off Champion Street but there there are several other entrances to the park in Cannons Creek and Aotea. You will need to leave the path to get the cache. You may find it easier to leave the track about 20m east of the cache where the slope is more gentle. Joggers frequent this route but you will be far enough away that they are unlikely to notice you.
The cache is camouflaged as something not uncommon around here.
The log is protected by an inner water-tight micro container and there is no room for a pencil, trinkets or trackables.
If you find a naked bison tube without its outer camoflage, please raise a maintenance request. I don't know why or how the outer cache keeps going missing with the inner one left behind.
