Cities noises fade away replaced by the call of birds heard echoing through the trees, the shuffling of your feet through the leaves, and the wind blowing through the trees. You are invited to take a stroll into the woods and discover this hidden nature trail.
Ahead of you is a rustic well-marked nature trail. It is not a published trail so traffic is light and it is not as well worn as a state park trail. The trail takes you through the high ground of the Addicks reservoir. The ground is relatively flat with no noticeable incline. Part of the trail is actually an old road bed. It is approximately a 2.5 mile round trip hike if you visit all of the caches in this series.
