Meet fellow geocachers and learn all about Geocaching Basics from experienced cachers on Thursday, October 20, beginning at 6:55 p.m., at the BP Energy Center, 900 E. Benson Blvd. (Click for map.)
We will start off this evening's presentation with a State of the Club address by the Board of Directors. This will be followed by an introduction to the members running for the Board positions for next year. Each candidate will have an opportunity to speak to the group.
Following the Board presentation, we will fill in the rest of our evening with an EduVent on Outdoor Safety by freeweez. She will be covering a number of topics on general outdoor safety, specifically as it relates to geocaching. This event is perfect for all cachers, regardless of age or experience level. Bring a friend, even a muggle, as the more the merrier.
This event will be carried live over the internet via WebEx with audio over a phone line. GeocacheAlaska! Sourdough Members who cannot attend an event site can link in remotely. Contact the Webmaster for instructions on how to do so.

Please arrive on time so upfront administrative details can be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start precisely at 7:00 p.m. Also, please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage and a dessert to share with your fellow cachers.
