Geocache Description:

Located just off of one of my favorite bike routes, this small park provides a great view of the river and is a nice place to relax.

While looking to place this cache, I was able to find Memorial Park, which I now know is the launching pad for the Waterville Polar Bears.......and their annual Polar Plunge......wow how cold has that swim gotta be? Maybe I'll go watch one year, could be I'm missing out on some serious fun. Not sure how long my grin would last if I was bearing it out in that frigid water though. Seems that Herb was a committed member and is memorialized with a generous portion of stone, as are quite a few other folks from the area. Park hours apply...signage says 10pm. Small parking lot lets you drive almost directly to GZ. FTF is rewarded with an official compass geostone.....oh the beauty!!! You are looking for a small magnetized cache, no room for swag, bring a pen.
