Ardea Herodias Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-allenite-: As there's been no response from the cache owner to my previous note, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Ardea Herodias

The Great Blue Heron is indigenous to North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean and Galapagos Islands.  the large wading bird can be seen near the shores of open water or in wetlands such as this.  Be careful not to get too close to one, however.  They are extremely territorial and will aggressively defend their nest.

Great Blue Heron in Flight

I wasn't aware that this park existed until I read an article in the local newspaper, the Beacon, explaining how the city clear-cut the trees here to create this panoramic view.  What a great idea!

The cache is a medium-sized vitamin bottle with a few small trinkets for trade.  There is also a hand-made FTF tag for the taking.  Muggles abound so use your best ninja stealth.
