Wetheral Brownies decided that it was high time they added to their caches placed in and around Hayton and set off on a short walk from How Mill to Hayton School. With 5 caches to place, the leaders (Owls) had first bash at making a hide. Four years later and the Brownies are back to maintain and update the series.
Parking available in How village – alongside derelict barns at CA8 9JY is good for 2 cars. A round walk can be made by dropping down into Hayton village, turning left and following the lanes back round to How Mill. The lanes are quiet BUT some cars race along this route as a rat run so BEWARE! The series can be linked in with the ‘Everywhere We Go!’ series.
