Named Turkey Hill Conservation Area, the Town purchased this 22½ acres of land, in 2006. The property consists entirely of mature upland deciduous forest and includes the summit of Turkey Hill, the highest undeveloped point in Ipswich, from which the distant coastline in the area of Great Neck can be seen on a clear day if there are no leaves on the trees. The purchase price of the property was funded by the Open Space Bond.
Parking area is at the entrance of 27 Pineswamp Road. A 30‐foot wide trail easement leads from there approximately 1000 feet to the Turkey Hill Conservation Area, where there is approximately a one mile trail loop.
This cache is a part of a series of caches hidden on land owned by the Ipswich Open Space Program, hidden by an AmeriCorps-MassLIFT member.
Congrats to Geo-Knot for the FTF!
