- These used to be extremely abundant when I wore a younger mans clothes and was nothing to see at least 3 or 4 a week. Now they seem to be extinct....could it be the burning of fossil fuels?...the excessive use of raw materials?...the ever increasing expansion of technology? Global warming?.....no one is really certain, but it just doesn't add up. Scientists have tried to observe their habits and rituals...but have deduced due to their rarity can not come to a total agreement on what has caused them to become extinct. These are aggressive critters when they are confronted and have been heard to make a clicking sound. Unless you have been around them in some facet I would stay clear.
