Geocache Description:

Coolough Church is named after the Saints; Peter and Paul, and is in the parish of Castlegar, County Galway. Adjacent to the Church on the Galway city side, there is a lovely little grotto. The grotto is a man-made limestone and concave structure, to provide some shelter to it “residents”. The grotto was erected by the parishioners and Fr. Brendan Moroney CC and blessed by Most Rev. Dr.Michael Browne, Bishop of Galway in 1945.
