Eyes are wide, smiles are hidden

for in this land we are forbidden.

We shiver and shake as we look around

our minds play tricks, we hear a strange sound.

We peek out side, what do we see?

some scarey shape, what could it be?

It has many arms, a face with a leer.

a sound comes out that causes fear.

Back and forth it moves and sways

inside our tents we need to stay.

The morning is coming, not a moment to soon.

what is this thing a ghost, a gobblin, maybe a goon? 

The morning has come, we survived the night.

What was this thing that gave such a fright?

I peek from my tent, what do I see?

nothing at all but an ol' creepy tree!
