Geocache Description:

This is my first geocache hide. It is a small, film canister like plastic tube, with a log and a 50p coin for the person with FTF. It is placed in a small Waterloo. I reckon if I was to look for this cache, I would find it very easy to find.

This cache is fairly simple to find. It is in Potters Barn Park, an old Waterloo park. Potters Barn, on Crosby Rd South, Seaforth, is a red sandstone relic of a mansion building project. In 1841, it was to be the entrance and stables to a large house, to be built for William Potter, a rich Liverpool merchant. It was modelled on the famous farm La Haye Saint, a pivotal place in the british line, at the battle of Waterloo, in 1815. Potters business failed, and he ran out of the money to finish his dream. His red sandstone barn remains as his memorial, although sadly in a derelict condition. This was once used also as a training ground for soldiers in the distant past.

This geocache is a small plastic container, hidden amongst the bricks. There is also nearby free parking on Cambridge Rd, and a skatepark in short walking distance into the park. Easily accesible also by bus.

Update: I have replaced cache with a similar container. It is now in a plastic bag, and inside the container the log is in another plastic bag. Please don't rip the bags but gently untie them. I'm unsure whether the last log (during the existence of the new container) ripped the bag or not, but I ask you please to take care. Thanks 😁☺☺

My first hide. Thanks
