Tygart Lake State Park is a cozy, quiet getaway for couples and families. It sits among West Virginia's rolling hills and alongside 10-mile long, 1,750-acre Tygart Lake.
Tygart Lake is a flood control lake protecting areas from West Virginia to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During the summer months the lake is held at a relatively normal water level. Between mid-September and April, the lake is drawn down in anticipation of heavier precipitation. This was the view as I was out hiking in the area today.
The lake is surrounded by beautiful woodlands. Over the past couple of years it has become more populated with caches. While I was out today I thought, "This would be a great location for another cache." It is out there far enough that those who like to spend time in the outdoors may enjoy going after it. I believe it was hidden well enough that some might even get to make their way to GZ more than once before finding it.
Cache is located in Pleasant Creek WMA. Please remember to take proper precautions during hunting seasons.
Happy hunting and good luck.
