Over a 100 years ago this little valley was a local dumping ground known as the Bok-se-Kloof brickfield. Since 1991 this 10 hecatre reserve has been a welcome nature sanctuary with a myriad of meandering trails. In the late 1990's a generous grant was donated by SC Johnson and Son manufacturers of a range of household products including Pedge furniture polish - hence we have today the Pledge Nature Reserve !
There are two stages to this simple multi
Stage 1 - coordinates for stage 2 will be revealed in the cache container when stage 1 has been located
Stage 2 - ? Clue - Can you see a hexagon with two fat ladies on it !
The caches are small screwtop containers containing only a log sheet - you will need to bring your own pen. Plse take care to place it exactly as found. Plse note once the Stage 2 cache has been located, do not try to remove the entire container from its location - the container top is fixed securely onto its location so you simply need to unscrew the container base from its top to access the logsheet.
There are two entrances : one is found in Bond Street and the bottom entrance is found through the car park near Steers / Debonairs just off the Main Road ( near Postnet).
There is a entrance fee which currently is R 20 / adults and R 10 / children.
