By submitting a cache listing, you assure us that you have adequate permission to hide your cache in the selected location. If you have permission to place a cache on private property, indicate this on the cache listing for the benefit of the reviewer and those seeking the cache.

In the case of public property, permission can often be obtained from the agency or association that manages the land. In Maine, there are many such agencies and organizations that regulate geocaching on their managed land. As the cache owner you are responsible for determining who to contact to obtain permission.

Even if you are certain that geocaching is permitted on particular public property, ensure that you have followed any and all requirements established by the land owner or land management agency before placing the cache. There may be locations in which cache hides are inappropriate, even though not prohibited by local laws.

If you feel that you will not be able to resolve this in a timely manner (i.e., within a month), let me know, and I'll archive this cache page.

Geocache Description:

The trail you'll be walking on most of the way to the cache used to be known as Walnut Grove Road. The trail branches off from the old road at the skeleton of a bridge that used to cross the Salmon Falls River. From there the road once continued to join Salmon Falls Rd. in Rochester, NH, right next to the Walnut Grove Church. I suppose this was once a fairly important road, don't know when or why it fell into disuse; imagine Model T's and kids swimming near the bridge in the summertime (they still do, actually). The Keay Brook Preserve is in Berwick, Maine, off Hubbard Road. There is a nice parking area, and the trail is flat and an easy walk. The cache is about sixty feet off the trail, exact location may be hard for GPS to pinpoint due to tree cover, but the hint should help here. The cache is a small cylindrical match case.

Congratulations to Substickers for FTF.
