A cache placed a short distance from the Tortolita Preserve trailhead.
The Tortolita Preserve offers 8.8 miles of flat trail great for hiking and biking. It can be accessed from Moore Rd. At the end of the pavement there is a gate, and the trailhead itself is about 100 yards past the gate. The cache is an ammo can and has plenty of room for trading items and trackables. Be sure to re-hide the cache well and have fun!
The cache is on State Trust Land and a permit is required to make the find. You don’t need a permit to hike on the trails but you need to have one in order to go off trail to find the cache. You can get permits here:
