Ogólnym terminem Powiśle określane są bowiem praktycznie wszystkie tereny leżące nad Wisłą, począwszy od jej źródeł, aż po ujście. Nazwa ta (pisana małą literą) zawsze oznacza niskie pobrzeże Wisły, a więc wąski pas lądu w dolinie między rzeką a wyżej położonym zboczem pradoliny.
Można zatem powiedzieć że Powiśle jest w pewnym sensie tożsame z Urzeczem, jakkolwiek terytorialnie znacznie od niego obszerniejsze.

General term Powiśle are determined for virtually all areas situated on the Vistula river, from its sources to the estuary. The name (spelled in lowercase) always means low seashore Vistula, and thus narrow strip of land in the valley between the river and the upstream edge of meltwater.
You could say that Powiśle is somewhat synonymous with Urzecze, though geographically far from his extensive.
