This geocache will be part of an ongoing series named after our love of dogs, more specifically Terriers. This is on a piece of a public footpath leading between the section of Viridor wood and the Abram Flases. Please be aware area can be muddy. As this was muggled several times we have changed the size of the cache but it is still hidden in the same clue object. Please DO NOT remove the cache from its hiding place, just USE TWEEZERS to get the log out. Thanks.
The Terrier Series is a series of caches which are placed around Viridor Woods in Bamfurlong, Wigan. Viridor Woods is split into two sections which a road runs through. Viridor woods was originally a mine and slag heaps but then ended up in the hands of the Viridor Waste company. The company planned on using it as a landfill site, but once the residents protested the company gave the land to the Forestry Commission. Viridor woods is now a beautiful walk. On one side it leads onto the Three Sisters recreation area and nature reserve and on the other lads to footpaths that end up on Ashton Heath. Please enjoy and respect the land, its a beautiful place.
