Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed at the now slightly historic St Kilda Adventure Playground.

This playground was opened on 24 October 1982, and is still operating, however, has undergone numerous changes, one of which you will see when you look for this cache.

The cache is located where there once used to be two underground slides, one of those being a famous sprial slide. These slides were so exhilirating, as the whole slide was basically in the dark, and would end in a dark tunnel, where people would then be lead to a very simple metal maze, which you can see from GZ. The maze is extremely easy, so why not give it a try while you are here.

The slides still exist, but are not able to be used, as they are hidden underneath a platform, where there are now new slides. I have placed this cache here, as the slides have importance to me, as they hold many childhood memories, of when I used to love going to the park, just for these slides. You will be able to see the slides which once were, when you are looking for this cache. Please note that this cache does require some easy climbing to get to. You are searching for a Mentos container, and interfering with structures is not required to find this one. I would be most interested to hear if other people have nice memories of this park. The park is still in operation, and boasts numerous slides, a constructed shipwreck, flying fox, swings. There is plenty of room to move and relax and have a picnic, and enjoy being outside. This is a family friendly cache, so I invite you to enjoy a lovely picnic and some excercise, whilst enjoying the sunshine and the new renovations. There is plenty of grass and a drinking fountain to keep you hydrated. However, I suggest you attempt this cache early morning or late evening, or on a weekday, as the park can be flooded with muggles at other times. Cache is accessible at all times, but park gates close at sunset. Cache only has room for a logbook, so, please bring your own writing implement. I trust you will enjoy this lovely park, don't forget to share your photos and experiences 😀😀
