Geocache Description:

Located along the coast from Howe strand, this hidden cove is ideal for cliff jumping and coasteering with a 60 foot drop from cliff top to sea, only for the brave hearted.. The cache is a small waterproof container includes a pencil and log.. PLEASE replace exactly where you found it , it will be definitely muggled otherwise ...

Your start point is the layby at the end of the road at Howe strand. There are three separate and very different ways to get to the cache location. Firstly, by canoe or kayak from the beach, around the headland to the east and into the cove. once you get on shore again, it's just a quick climb up. Secondly (and the one I prefer), try a spot of coasteering, again starting from the eastern side of the beach, follow the shoreline around the point to the cache site, climbing and occasionally swimming until you reach the cove. Don't attempt this on a full tide, you'll stay almost dry on a low one... finally, for the softies, there is a narrow trail along the top of the cliffs from under the ruined coastguard station to the cache. the middle section of this path is very overgrown especially at the height of the summer so cover up those bare legs... You will notice that there is a way to get there which involves trespassing onto private land proving to be a really easy option BUT don't cheat, the reason for the high difficulty rating on this cache is the suggested routes to it....
